Office building GB04 and the Gate pavilion within Energy Park, a business campus north-east of Milan. The design mixes full-height glazing, spandrel glass bands and a slender steel canopy at roof level.

MODO carried out the structural and thermal design of the envelope. This covered the stick curtain walls of GB04 and the Gate, the GB04 ribbon windows and the glazed parapet crown. It included verification of the mullion grid, glass, brackets and temporary works.

Technical highlights: storey-high stick curtain wall modules of about 4 m, and parapet frames with structurally bonded heat-soaked toughened glass. A temporary bracket carried the GB04 facade until the Gate was built. Frame and joint transmittance were checked with Flixo Pro to EN ISO 12631.
