Durable Facades: PBFD 2026 in Venice

Daniele Martini and Marco Benedetti are in Venice on 16 and 17 September for Performance-Based Façade Design (PBFD) 2026. This is the fourth edition of the international conference on façade design and engineering.

This year's theme is durability: how building envelopes age, perform and keep their value over their service life.

Day 1: Durable Façades seminar. Keynotes and technical papers on adaptive envelopes, circularity, ageing, digital continuity and climate resilience.

Day 2: Façade Serviceability workshop. Failures and lessons learned, from design intent to real-world performance.
